Boys Soccer
Milford, 3 @ Canton, 4 – Final – Canton junior Paul Cocoran netted his second hat trick of the season, including a pair of goals in the second half that helped the Bulldogs build a three-goal lead. Milford opened the scoring when freshman Leo Coelho netted his first career goal but Canton responded with a pair of goals in a two-minute span. Corcoran tied the game in the 21st minute and Simon Cruz gave Canton the lead in the 22nd minute. Cocoran added goals in the 56th and 64th minutes to go up 4-1. Milford sophomore Jordan Borges made it a two-goal game in the 75th minute and sophomore Walisson de Oliveira brought the Hawks within one in the final minute.
King Philip, 5 vs. Bishop Feehan, 1 – Final – King Philip scored four goals in the second half to break a tie game and pick up two points at home. Tyler Mann put the Warriors up 1-0 on an unassisted tally in the ninth minute. Feehan tied the game midway through the first half. Mann completed his hat trick with a pair of goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half, making it 2-1 in the 44th minute on a feed from Anthony Bozza and 3-1 just two minutes later on a feed from Connor Mullins. Thomas Lugten scored a pair of goals in a five-minute span, with junior Justin Willson and freshman Evan McEvoy picking up assists.
Stoughton, 2 vs. Norwood, 1 – Final – Tyler Melo and Fabio Ponce de Leon each had a goal for the Black Knights to earn Stoughton its first win of the season.

Stoughton, 3 @ Norwood, 4 – Final – Chinazo Odunze scored a pair of goals and Mackenzie Manning had a goal and an assist for the Black Knights. Brigid Pearl and Nicole Weir also had assists in the loss.

King Philip, 6 @ Attleboro, 0 – Final – King Philip junior Alli Meehan recorded a hat trick to pace the Warriors on the road. Senior Christina Hathaway netted a pair of goals and Dana Truini scored once for King Philip.
Canton, 2 @ North Attleboro, 1 – Final
Sharon, 0 @ Foxboro, 9 – Final – Sophia DiCenso led the way for the Warriors with a hat trick. Jackie Brion, Molly Murphy, Lily Daly, Annie Murphy, Lindsey Morris, and Lily Behn also scored for Foxboro.
Oliver Ames, 0 @ Franklin, 2 – Final – Franklin junior Anna Jardine had a strong game in net, making nine saves, including a gutsy slide tackle and a beautiful diving save – both in the second half – to help the Panthers preserve the win. Juniors Cassi Ronan and Regan Paterson each scored once in the first half for Franklin. FHS head coach Lisa Cropper said junior Annie Walsh played an outstanding game, creating numerous offensive chances and stopping OA from mounting an attack. Oliver Ames goalie Caitlin Grant made eight saves in net.
Mansfield, 1 @ Taunton, 3 – Final – Senior Kya Enos netted a hat trick for the second straight game and junior goalie Emma Sheehan made 12 saves to help the Tigers earn an upset over visiting Taunton. Diana Brens had two assists while Liana Duarte had one helper in the win. THS coach Mike Fox praised the defensive play of Jillian Pagliuca, Jocelyn Pagliuca, and Kathryn Robinson.
Milford, 1 @ Stoughton, 2 – Final – Stoughton’s Haley Apotheker scored a pair of goals to help the Black Knights defend its home field and earn a win over visiting Milford.
Volleyball
Canton, 0 @ Milford, 3 – Final – Milford picked up a key division win at home, taking it 25-19, 25-18, 25-23. For Canton, Taylor Harris and Hannah Jerrier combined for 14 kills while head coach Pat Cawley praised the defensive play of Julia Minichiello.
Foxboro, 0 @ Stoughton, 3 – Final – Stoughton earned a dominant win in the first game but had to orchestrate a comeback to win a close second game. The Black Knights completed the sweep with a convincing third game win, 25-5, 26-24, 25-10. Val Whalen took control in the first set, rattling off 16 service points, including six aces. Sophomore Mykiah Simpson paced the offense with five kills in the opening set. Whalen finished 16 kills, 18 digs, and eight aces while junior Molly Turner added 21 assists and six aces. Seniors Vicky Ramos and Haley Stone played well defensively for the Knights.
Franklin, 3 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – Franklin mounted a late comeback in the second half to help sweep the Tigers on the road. Junior Lauren McGrath (four aces) put the Franklin offense in motion with 30 assists while Meaghan Maguire had 10 kills and two blocks and Lauren Lockhart chipped in with eight kills. Sharon, 0 @ North Attleboro, 3 – Final – North Attleboro earned the sweep, defeating Sharon 25-14, 25-20, 25-12. Seniors Amelia Murphy (13 kills) and Kezie De La Cruz (nine kills) led the Rocketeers to the win.
Oliver Ames, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – King Philip defended home court with a convincing 25-14, 25-11, 25-14 win. Sydney Phillips led the way with 15 kills while Michaela Palumbo added four kills. Julianna Rando (eight digs) and Elise Pereira (seven digs) paced the Warriors’ defensive effort.
Golf
Taunton, 179 @ Attleboro, 174 – Final – Attleboro’s Kyle DelSignore eached match medalst honors with a low-round of 39 and was the difference between the Bombardiers and Tigers. The two teams matched on cards two, three and four – meaning DelSignore’s five-stroke win on the top card was the difference.
Canton, 157 @ Mansfield, 173 – Final – Canton sophomore Chris Lavoie fired a 36 at Norton Country Club, earning match medalist honors for the first time and helping the Bulldogs stay unbeaten. Danny Powers added a 39 for the Bulldogs while Brendan Loomer led Manfield with a round of 40.
Milford, 191 @ Foxboro, 178 – Final
Stoughton, 174 @ Oliver Ames, 139 – Final – Oliver Ames senior Mark Bissonette birdied the first two holes of play, finishing with a low-round of 33 to earn medalist honors. Ryan McGarry and Eric LeBlanc added rounds of 35 while Matt Kelley fired a 36 at Pine Oaks.

Nathaniel Cardoza, Senior – Oliver Ames
This isn’t the first time that Cardoza has been on this list. He’s just one of two players to be on the list last year and again this season. It shouldn’t be much of a surprise either if you’ve seen him play at all. His ability to be a constant presence on the defensive side and then quickly transition and get involved in the offense is what separates him apart from the rest. His soccer IQ is very high and on display when he has the ball at his feet. Whether it’s threading the needle with through balls or deciding to take a chance on goal himself, he always seems to make the right play.
Nick Hasenfus, Senior – Attleboro
Attleboro’s goalkeeper had a breakout season during 2016 and earned HockomockSports.com Best XI honors in his first year as a starter. He had nine shutouts and just 21 goals against in 20 games. His ability to control the entire area makes him an elite keeper, controlling crosses or services into the area very well. He showed his ability to react quickly as well, constantly getting at least a hand on shots on target. The biggest challenge this season for Hasenfus will be the change of central defenders after the Bombardiers graduated both Harry Lancaster and Tyler Treichler from its back line.
Nick Hyland & Sam Hyland, Seniors – Mansfield
The Hornets graduated a couple of key pieces to a team that challenged for the Kelley-Rex title and made the state tournament again last season. But two players back that will play important roles for Mansfield are twin brothers Nick and Sam Hyland. Nick had a strong season defensively last year but will be counted on more with the departure of Max Gurnon. His size gives him an advantage defending set pieces and crosses into the area and can also play out of the back with his feet. Sam really emerged as a top option in the center of the pitch last season. He is calm with the ball at his feet which allows him to pick out teammates going forward, or even back to help the Hornets keep possession.
Ethan Kantor, Junior – Sharon
Kantor had a tremendous sophomore season and was a big reason why Sharon was able to clinch its first league title since 1994. He routinely made tough saves, and often times made the tough stops look easy. He’s quick off his line, which allows Sharon’s back line to relax a little knowing he will be there to clean anything dropped in behind them. Now as a junior, look for Kantor to take commanding control of the area and really handle crosses and services with confidence. You have to think that with the more experience that Kantor gets, the better goalie he will become.
Tyler Mann, Senior – King Philip
Anyone who saw King Philip play a year ago knows just how important Mann was for the Kelley-Rex division champs. Mann is just one of two players to make this list for a second year, joining Oliver Ames’ Nathaniel Cardoza. Mann’s versatility is what really makes him stand out among his peers. If the Warriors need a goal, expect Mann to take up a higher role and make an impact, especially in one on one situations. If the Warriors are looking for possession or distribution out of the middle, the 2016 HockomockSports.com Player of the Year can drop back some and be more of a playmaker.
Tyler Melo, Senior – Stoughton
The first word that comes to mind when you think of Melo is skill. He is certainly one of the best players in the league when it comes to having the ball his feet. Whether he needs a simple touch to beat a defender, or maybe one to shield off a defender, Melo is very intelligent with the ball. He isn’t going to be one of the fastest or strongest players in the league, but opposing defenses aren’t going to want to give him much space, especially in the attacking third. Expect Melo to become more of an on-field leader this season for the Black Knights.
Connor Mullins, Senior – King Philip
It’s safe to say Mullins was one of the biggest surprises during the 2016 season. While he played plenty of minutes during his sophomore season, it wasn’t until last year that Mullins really became a consistent playmaker for the Warriors. Patrolling the center of the pitch, his ability to win the ball and hold off defenders boils down to his strength and IQ. Not many players are able to hold the ball or win the ball in tough challenges like Mullins can. He also showed last year his ability to play through balls and balls over the top to spring the Warriors’ strikers.
Gabe Pinhancos, Senior – North Attleboro
Pinhancos is one of the most technically gifted players in the league. From his center midfield position, he is a true field general that helps the Rocketeers transition from defense to offense. He can also get forward and be an impactful striker for Big Red (five goals and three assists in 2016). Last year, because of his service ability and high soccer IQ, he was responsible for all of North Attleboro’s set pieces and corner kicks. His ability to put the ball into dangerous spots will certainly result in scoring chances for the Rocketeers this season.
Cam Vella, Senior – Oliver Ames
Two seasons ago when Oliver Ames won its first state title, the Tigers had a handful of players from the Class of 2018 play a vital role. Cam Vella is one of those seniors that had a big hand as a sophomore. Now the Tigers will be looking to make it back to that point with those sophomores now leading the way as seniors. Vella’s aerial ability is a huge plus for the Tigers, especially winning 50/50 balls in the midfield. He also can play with the ball at his feet, taking possession and quickly turning into offense. And his size also makes him a target inside the area on set pieces and corner kicks.
Jake Verille, Senior – Canton
Verille is definitely one of the most experienced players in the Hockomock League this season. Playing in the middle of the pitch, Verille’s play often dictates how Canton will play. While he can drop back and defend, he can also carry possession forward and spring teammates in behind opposing defenses. And the more that he’s played at the varsity level, the more dangerous he’s become in the final third. While he wasn’t Canton’s leading scorer a year ago, his decision making often leads to good chances for the Bulldogs.

2017 Davenport Boys Soccer Preview
Canton
2016 Record: 8-7-5
2016 Finish: Reached D2 South First Round
Coach: Danny Erickson
After playing a good handful of juniors and sophomores during the 2016 season, the Bulldogs look to be an experienced group heading into this year. Leading the way will be senior and two-time captain Jake Verille, who leads the Bulldogs from the middle of the pitch. Fellow captain Abe Garber is back for another year in net and senior captain John Agnitti with anchor the defensive line.
Verille, a HockomockSports.com Best XI selection last season, has been one of the top playmakers the past two years. On top of Verille’s offensive ability, Canton also returns junior Paul Corcoran – the team’s leading scorer (nine goals) and the HockomockSports.com Underclassman of the Year. Alongside Corcoran, the Bulldogs have a slew of juniors with varsity experience including Griffin Roach, Simon Cruz, Paulo Ruggeri and Avery Minkin that will all factor into the attack.
“We are confident that we will be able to keep the ball and attack this year,” said Canton head coach Danny Erickson. “The chances should be created, but we will need to finish. We will also need to defend as a group of 11 MUCH better than we did last season.”
Foxboro
2016 Record: 6-9-4
2016 Finish: Reached D3 South First Round
Coach: Joe Franchino
After graduating just five seniors last season, head coach Joe Franchino brings back the majority of squad that had just one loss in its last eight regular season games in 2016. However, two of those five players – Anthony Barreira (two-time Best XI selection) & AJ Bubencik (now playing at Mass. Maritime) – were four year players and will be tough to replace.
The good news is that while the Warriors were young a year ago, a good portion of the team has at least a season of varsity experience under its belt. Senior captain Shawn McNamara, now in his fourth year starting for the Warriors, will lead the way along with fellow captains Matt Rongione and Ryan Kelley. Senior Cam Cass also has plenty of experience and will be relied upon as a playmaker. Junior Shane Vandenboom had a strong sophomore season and will be an important piece in the midfield along classmate Nic Beigel and senior Hussiein Kafel.
Seniors Bobby Harrison will be the starting goalie for the Warriors.
“Coming into my third year, I am confident the team has bought into the system and I’m really looking forward to see how they compete,” Franchino said. “We have experienced senior and junior classes with a couple of sophomores to watch out for. We may not have a target on our back but when it’s all said and done, I believe we have the team to win! I believe in this group and really excited to see what they accomplish.”
Milford
2016 Record: 4-10-4
2016 Finish: Missed playoffs
Coach: Brian Edwards
The Scarlet Hawks are looking to take the next step in year two with Brian Edwards at the helm. After just four wins a season ago, Edwards is hoping that the experience gained by his younger players will translate into more success this time around.
Midfielder Andre Oliveira will be a key piece for Edwards and the Scarlet Hawks, helping both the offense and defense. Oliveira’s ability to transition from defense to offense will be key for the Scarlet Hawks this season. On the defensive side of the ball, senior Jacob Balzarini is back in the center of the defense. After getting plenty of time in that spot last season, Balzarini will be the anchor of the backline this year. On top of Oliveira and Balzaini, Edwards is looking for new players to step up and make an impact.
“I’m looking for us to be a team that stresses balance,” Edwards said. “I am hopeful that the experience many of these guys gained last year translates into more success in the standings. I am also excited to see what the new guys bring to the squad. There are a bunch of hungry young players that want to make their mark on this team and in this league.”
North Attleboro
2016 Record: 2-10-6
2016 Finish: Missed playoffs
Coach: Geoff Burgess
North Attleboro boasts over a dozen seniors on the 2017 version of the Red Rocketeers and head coach Geoff Burgess is hoping that experience will translate into success on the field.
Leading the way will be senior and 2016 HockomockSports.com Second XI selection Gabe Pinhancos, who has been Big Red’s field general for the past couple of seasons. Josh Rodriguez and Ryan Pasquel are also back this season to help bolster the midfield. Junior Joe Hilf and senior Jeff Gale will be relied upon to pace North Attleboro’s offense.
Big Red’s biggest strength could be in the back, having a defensive unit with plenty of experience. Noah Barney and Zach Matracia both saw significant time and will be joined by classmates Andrew Fontaine and Kevin Aguilar. That defensive unit will be in front of senior goalie Brendan Matracia.
“I am hoping that we are going to be a team on the rise this year,” said Burgess. “I have a strong senior class and we’ve had a good summer and an even better preseason.”
Sharon
2016 Record: 11-4-4 (Davenport Division Champions)
2016 Finish: Reached D2 South First Round
Coach: Bryan Kelly
The defending Davenport division champs will boast a large senior class (14) but will also rely on some younger players as they look to win back-to-back Hock titles.
The Eagles’ tri-captains will provide leadership in each part of the pitch, with senior center back Shubo Roy-Chowdury on the back line, senior Tyler Hippler leading the midfield and senior Spencer Hall up front. Sharon’s attack will bolstered by seniors Marques Benton and Andy Reyes-Jones, who both saw plenty of time up top a year ago. Meanwhile, sophomore Michael Baur is back after a standout freshman season and classmates Isaiah Stessman, Brian Higgins and freshman Brice Nathan will all play a role in helping the Eagles go forward.
Maybe the biggest advantage the Eagles have is returning keeper Ethan Kantor. The junior had a terrific season in net a year ago and will be the backbone of the team’s defense.
“With a solid defense that is smart and has speed, we should be able to keep up with fast offenses while not losing the capability to support a potent offense,” said SHS head coach Bryan Kelly. “Overall, we are solid from goal to forwards, it just depends on if we can put the ball in the back of the net.”
Stoughton
2016 Record: 8-9-2
2016 Finish: Reached D2 South Preliminary Round
Coach: Chris Suchorski
Stoughton will be looking to make it back again to the postseason, this time under first-year head coach Chris Suchorski. The Black Knights just made it in a season ago but it marked the third straight year for the program.
Suchorski is tasked with replacing 12 seniors that graduated from last year’s team. However, all of the players he is returning all saw varsity time last season and that should soften the blow dealt by graduation. Senior Tyler Melo (six points) is back and will likely be a vital part of the Black Knights’ midfield and attack. Junior Fabio Ponce de Leon (six points) begins his third season on varsity and will once again be one the Black Knights’ top offensive options. Brian Peoples also returns as one of the team’s top playmakers.
The biggest question could come with the back four, as the Black Knights must find a replacement for 2016 Best XI selection Goddy Fombe, who anchored the back line the past two season the sweeper position.

Boys Soccer
Canton, 4 @ Stoughton, 4 – Final – Canton erased three different deficits on the road to get the point while Stoughton qualified for the state tournament with the draw. Jordan Asnes opened the scoring on a volley into the far corner off a cross from Brian Peoples. Canton leveled the game to send the teams into the halftime break at 1-1. Stoughton regained the lead after a great through ball from Asnes for a nice finish into the corner from Tyler Melo. The Black Knights made it 3-1 when Loubensky Lucas found John Ortiz in the six yard box. Canton responded with a pair of goals to level the match at 3-3. Stoughton responded instantly as Lucus lifted the ball over the defense and Marco Antunes finished nicely into the corner. Canton tied the game with just over a minute to play to finish 4-4.
Milford, 0 @ Sharon, 3 – Final – Sharon built a 1-0 lead by halftime and added two more in the second half, going unbeaten against Davenport foes this season. Ben Stamm and Andrew Reyes-Jones each scored off an assist from Spencer Hall while Marques Benton found the back of the net off an assist from Oliver Hu.

Volleyball
Canton, 3 vs. Quincy, 0 – Final – Canton finished the season with a 25-21, 26-24, 25-16 sweep against Quincy. Emma Murphy led Canton with nine kills and no errors, hitting .529. Nicole Poole had 24 assists and 20 digs while Casey Shea and Emma Gobbi combined for 14 kills.

North Attleboro, 0 @ Mansfield, 1 – Final – James Chotkowski netted the game winning goal with just five minutes to play to lift the Hornets. Max Gurnon’s throw in was headed on by Kevin Bouck to Chotkowski, who finished for the lone tally of the game.
Sharon, 0 @ King Philip, 5 – Final – Cam Mullins scored a brace, both off corners, and Connor Mullins recorded three assists for the Warriors. Colby Koch, Tyler Mann (from Larsen Keys) and Cam McGovern also scored for KP.
Stoughton, 3 @ Franklin, 2 – Final – Franklin built a two goal lead in the first half but the Black Knights stormed back with three unanswered goals to grab the win. Farley Asmath and Nitin Chaudury netted goals off assists from Liam Kapples to put the hosts up 2-0. Stoughton answered as Noah Schulze scored on a free kick from 30 yards out and then tied the game before the break on Tyler Melo’s strike from outside the area. The Black Knights netted the game-winner with Melo finishing off a cross from Jordan Asnes. Stoughton head coach Aaron Salter said, “It was an excellent team performance today from every player.” Salter had specific praise for his back line as well as Melo and junior Brian Peoples.

Attleboro, 0 @ Milford, 1 – Final – Milford senior Sydney Morrison netted the lone goal of the game off an assist from Kristen Franzini to help the Scarlet Hawks edge Attleboro. Milford head coach Jay Mastaj said Maggie Boyle and Ashleigh Starks both played well for the Scarlet Hawks.
Mansfield, 2 @ North Attleboro, 1 – Final – Hannah Reiter scored both goals for the Hornets, including the winner on a header off an Emily Vigeant corner with eight minutes remaining. Stephanie Kemp assisted the first Mansfield goal. Emily Schromm scored North Attleboro’s goal to tie the game at 1-1 in the second half off an assist from Haley Guertin. North interim head coach Bill Wallace said Aine Mendonca played well for the Rocketeers.
King Philip, 2 @ Sharon, 1 – Final – Avery Snead (from Maddie Smith) and Abby Baker scored the goals for the Warriors. Ally Filipkowski scored the goal for the Eagles off an assist by Alex Rabb.

Canton, 3 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – Canton picked up the win 25-13, 25-9, 25-15 in what head coach Pat Cawley called a “great team effort.” Nicole Poole controlled the offense skillfully, dishing out 27 assists and adding two kills and two aces. Hannah Jerrier had a 10 kills with no errors, hitting an impressive .435. Casey Shea added seven kills with just one error, hitting .545. Julia Panico was “outstanding” in the back row according to Cawley, finishing with 20 digs. Erika Lum, Maria Mackie and Emily Lynch combined for 33 digs for the Bulldogs.

North Attleboro, 1 @ Mansfield, 3 – Final – Mansfield notched a 25-13, 25-17, 19-25, 25-21 win at home over the Rocketeers. Meg Hill led the Hornets with 10 kills and six blocks, Olivia Broyles had eight blocks and played strong defense. Julia Harrison had seven kills, Jess Haradon added 23 digs and Chloe Peters had 33 assists and 14 service points.
Sharon, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – King Philip earned the sweep on the road with a 26-24, 25-18, 25-19. Sydney Phillips led KP with 16 kills and 14 service points, Carly Adams added 18 service points and 22 assists, Amanda Loewen chipped in with eight digs, Liv Balduf had four kills and nine service points and Angela Vellante added 15 service points and three digs.
Stoughton, 1 @ Franklin, 3 – Final – Lauren McGrath helped set Franklin up for victory, notching 33 assists along with seven digs and three aces to lead the Panthers. Erin Skidmore had 15 kills and 11 digs, Maddie Kuzio had 21 digs and three aces, Lindsay McGowan contributed with seven kills, four digs, three aces and Meaghan Maguire finished with eight blocks and five kills for Franklin. For Stoughton, Riley Bagley had 43 digs while Val Whalen added 17 kills and sophomore Molly Turner had 20 assists.

King Philip, 0 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final – Gianna Barbosa stopped 10 shots, earning the shutout as the Black Knights handed King Philip its first loss of the season. Kelli Joyce scored the game winner for Stoughton early in the second half off an assist by Julia Russell.

Mansfield, 173 @ King Philip, 155 – Final – King Philip’s Danny McLaughlin earned match medalist honors, shooting a low round of 37 to lead the Warriors. Senior Jack Citarell finished with a 40 for the Warriors but picked up birdies on both the fifth and sixth hole to help KP. Sebastian Ladoulis and Matt Stanton both shot 39 for KP. Jason Hindman led Mansfield with a 39.

Attleboro, 1 @ Franklin, 1 – Final – Ahijah Joseph gave Attleboro the lead with an 18th minute goal, an advantage the Bombardiers took into the halftime break. Franklin senior Hatim Brahimi found the equalizer in the 69th minute to level the scoring.
Canton, 3 @ Foxboro, 2 – Final – Canton sophomore Paolo Ruggeri scored in the final minutes of the came to complete the Bulldogs’ comeback. Foxboro’s Anthony Barreira and Jeff Melo scored goals in the first half as the Warriors took a 2-0 lead into halftime. But Canton senior Ben Waterhouse cut into the lead with a goal in the 52nd minute and sophomore Paul Corcoran tied the game in the 55th minute. Ruggeri was able to convert with under two minutes to play for the game winner.
King Philip, 2 @ Mansfield, 0 – Final – Sophomore Tony Bozza netted his first career goal in the opening minutes of the contest off an assist from Thomas Lugten and Lugten doubled the lead before the halfway mark of the first half to lead King Philip. Bozza used a one time finish off a pass from Lugten to put KP up 1-0 in the 2nd minute. Lugten then took a flick from Colby Koch and tucked his chance into the net from inside the area. KP head coach Nick Gale said his back four of Jack Bush, Cam Mullins, Ryan Coulter and Larsen Keys had a strong defensive game in front of goalie Eli O’Neill, who had a strong game against Mansfield’s set pieces.
North Attleboro, 0 @ Milford, 2 – Final – Pedro Sampaio netted a pair of second half goals to lead the Scarlet Hawks to their second straight win. Sampaio converted a penalty kick to put Milford up 1-0 and then carried possession across the edge of the area before firing in his second of the game.
Taunton, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 2 – Final – Joe Cerqueira and Nathaniel Cardoza each scored in the first half for Oliver Ames. James Gillespie assisted on Cerqueira’s goal and Chris Lawrence set up Cardoza’s goal.
Stoughton, 2 @ Sharon, 4 – Final – Sharon cashed in on a pair of corner kicks to build a 2-0 lead at halftime and converted on a free kick for a 3-0 advantage early in the second half. Andrew Reyes Jones opened the scoring, converting a corner from Michael Baur. Jeffrey Gao doubled the lead, finishing off another corner from Baur. Ben Stamm headed home a free kick from Ian Camilli to make it 3-0. Stoughton responded with a pair of goals with sophomore Fabio Ponce De Leon finishing a lofted pass from Tyler Melo coming first and Jordan Asnes finishing a cross from Goddy Fombe to make it 3-2. Camilli iced the game with his second point of the game with a strike from just outside the area to cap the scoring.

Milford, 1 @ North Attleboro, 1 – Final – Milford converted a corner kick to pick up a tie on the road at North Attleboro. Nicole Dahlgren scored off of Maddie Boyle’s corner for the Scarlet Hawks. Milford head coach Jay Mastaj praised the two-way play of Ashleigh Starks and Maggie Boyle.

Taunton, 191 @ Milford, 154 – Final – Three Milford golfers broke 40 on the day to pace the Scarlet Hawks to the win. Ryan Tomaso carded a low round of 35 while Anthony Arcudi shot 38 and Tylor Renaud carded a round of 39.
Canton, 153 @ North Attleboro, 149 – Final – Four different golfers shot under 40 for the Rocketeers to edge Canton in a key Davenport division showdown. Robbie Congdon shot a 36, David Colasanti shot a 37 and Dylan Kane and Tyler Sinacola both shot 38 in the win. Canton’s Matt Minichiello was the match medalist, carding a low round of 35.

Franklin, 3 @ Brockton, 0 – Final – The Panthers used dominant net performances from Maggie Doyle and Meaghan Maguire to sweep the Boxers. Lauren Lockhart chipped in with 10 kills for the Panthers while Erin Skidmore had 14 digs, nine kills and an ace and Riley Marino had 10 digs and two aces.

Franklin, 159 @ Taunton, 189 – Final – Bryan Woelfel’s low-round of 35 earned match medalist to lead the Panthers to a win on the road. Matt D’Errico added a 40 and Eric Civetti shot a 41 for the Panthers. Justin Proto led Taunton with a 39 and Mike Volkmann carded a round of 41.

Foxboro, 39 @ Milford, 20 – Final – Brendan Foley ran a 17:10 to lead Foxboro, finishing third overall. Trey Lawson (17:35) finished fifth, Tyler Donovan (18:03) was ninth and Matt Kelly (18:05) was 10th to pace the Warriors.
Franklin, 39 @ Mansfield, 18 – Final – Mansfield grabbed the top four finishes and six of the top 10 to get the win. Kalin Petrov won the race in 17:29, with teammates Nick Rispoli (17:44), Collin Rice (17:50) and Patrick Heavey (17:56) finished second, third and fourth respectively. Franklin’s Everett Henderson (18:00), Mike Hagen (18:05) and Mitchell Regan (18:05) finished fifth, sixth and seventh respectively.
Taunton, 33 @ King Philip, 23 – Final – King Philip picked up its first dual meet win of the season by beating Taunton. Jack Angelo, Mike Griffin, Aeden Angelone and Mike Norberg finished second through fifth to pace the Warriors to the win. Taunton’s Dylan Lynch won the race in 16:40.

Foxboro, 20 @ Milford, 39 – Final – Foxboro’s Lindsey Nelson and Abby Hassman both crossed the finish line at 19:48 as the top two finishers to lead Foxboro. “They’ve been pushing each other in practice and working together in races, and that relationship will help me get the most out of them both,” Foxboro head coach Joe Cusack said. Sophia Mellen and Maddie Treweek finished fourth and fifth, respectively, for Foxboro.
Franklin, 18 @ Mansfield, 45 – Final – Franklin junior Nicole Clermont won her third straight league meet, clocking in at 20:29. Katherine Hartnett finished second at 21:08 and Ella Gutkowski was third for the Panthers, fourth overall, in 22:14.
Taunton, 33 @ King Philip, 24 – Final – King Philip’s Erin Quinn won her second straight league dual meet as KP held off Taunton, 24-33.
