Consolation Games
Sharon, 0 @ King Philip, 2 – FinalKing Philip scored a pair of second half goals to pick up two points in a Hockomock Cup consolation game against Sharon. Caleb Casseta-Waxman opened the scoring in the 38th minute with a shot from the top of the box into the side netting. Ajae Olsen, who assisted on the opening goal, tacked on an insurance goal in the final two minutes. Olsen took a pass from Sean McCarthy and chipped it over the defense from 30 yards out on a counter attack after the Eagles pushed numbers forward, including the keeper, on a corner.

Consolation Rounds

Mansfield, 1 @ Franklin, 0 – FinalCathryn Cooney won the game and completed a season sweep for the Hornets, scoring from the penalty spot with 12 minutes left in the game. Franklin coach Tom Geysen called it a well-played, physical game from both teams.

Non-Playoffs
North Attleboro, 1 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalNorth Attleboro reclaimed the Blue-Red Cup with a 1-0 decision on the road over the Bombardiers of Attleboro. Caroline Ferrin finished off a free kick from Ari Rice for the lone goal of the game. Rocketeers’ head coach Bill Wallace praised the defensive effort of Jordyn Sullivan, Katie Manning, Charlotte Moynihan, and Hailey Sinacola. Kaylah Seavey and Maddie Ferrin split the shutout in net. North Attleboro’s Tess Collins and Attleboro’s Jessica Gates were named MVPs for the game.

Milford, 3 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final Dani Atherton closed out the season with a hat trick to give Milford a win in the finale. Atherton opened the scoring on a 30-yard free kick and then doubled the lead in the second half on a feed by Catherine Madden. With eight minutes remaining, Atherton added a third, this time on a cross by Jillian Michelson. “I was excited to see the way they finished the season winning three of our last four games,” said Milford coach Lou Colabello. “Bodes well for our young kids for next year. I am extremely proud of our 10 seniors not only for the way they played and competed but for the class they showed throughout their career.”
