For the third straight meeting and second straight Thanksgiving clash, Ryan Halliday rushed for two touchdowns to lead King Philip a win. It marked the 10th straight win for the Warriors on Thanksgiving. Halliday scored on a 5-yard rush in the opening quarter and then doubled the advantage on a 2-yard rush in the third. It marked KP’s ninth overall shutout in the series and third on the holiday since 2015.

2018

KING PHILIP 23, FRANKLIN 16

King Philip stretched its win streak on Thanksgiving to nine with a win on the road over Franklin. Junior Ryan Halliday rushed for a pair of touchdowns and junior quarterback Robbie Jarest rushed for one. Kicker Cole Baker tossed a two-point pass in the first half. Nick Gordon threw two touchdowns for the Panthers.

The Warriors picked up their second 28-0 win in the past three years and extended its holiday win streak to eight with the victory. Brendan Lydon rushed for a touchdown in the first quarter and tossed two more in the second quarter to pace the King Philip offense.

King Philip extended its undefeated season with a big win on the road at Franklin. Shane Frommer ran for a score and caught a touchdown while junior Brendan Lydon tossed two touchdowns in the win. Aidan Bender had a 60-yard interception return in the fourth quarter.

King Philip’s Sean Garrity ran for three touchdowns (5 yards, 36 yards and 75 yards) and Steven Eaton had a rushing touchdown for the Warriors.

Mark Glebus ran for three touchdowns and quarterback John DeLuca rushed for one in a game that had to change locations due to snow.

Despite the loss, Franklin’s Kyle Finamore capped a strong career for the Panthers with a pair of touchdowns.

JJ Dillon threw one touchdown pass and rushed for another and Joe Cochrane had a 78 yard kickoff return for a touchdown. Franklin junior quarterback Nick Zucco threw three touchdowns.

Chris Cacciola rushed for over 100 yards and a pair of touchdowns for King Philip and also had a long interception return for a touchdown.

In the 50th meeting between the teams, Franklin’s (11-0) Nick Colson scored a pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter to break a 27 year playoff drought.
