Mansfield 22, Foxboro 12

One week before claiming the Division 2 State championship, Mansfield took down rival Foxboro for its 38th win on the holiday. The Hornets built a 22-0 lead in the first half; the Hornets set the tone with a first quarter safety and Nick Marciano tossed a 46-yard touchdown pass to Danny Rapoza in the opening quarter while Vinnie Holmes and Michael DeBolt rushed for touchdowns in the second quarter. Shayne Kerrigan and Chris McNamara had fourth quarter touchdowns for the Warriors.

2018

Foxboro 35, Mansfield 33 (3OT)

The rivalry shipped up to Boston for the 88th meeting between schools with Foxboro prevailing in triple overtime at Fenway Park. Mansfield scored with two seconds left to tie the game and send it to overtime for the first time in series history. Liam Foley threw for three touchdowns and the game-winning two-point conversion to Rob Fay.

2017

Mansfield 28, Foxboro 20

Damani Scott tossed a touchdown pass to Chris Copponi and Aidan Sacco had a five-yard rushing score, both in the fourth quarter, to lift Mansfield to its second straight win. Devin Hassett had two passing touchdowns for Foxboro.

2016

Mansfield 35, Foxboro 14

Senior Brian Lynch capped his career with three rushing touchdowns against rival Foxboro. After being limited by injury over his junior and senior years, Lynch ran for two scores in the second quarter and another in the third quarter. Anthony DeGirolamo tossed two touchdowns for the Hornets.

2015

FOXBORO 13, MANSFIELD 12

Mansfield took a 12-0 lead into halftime but Foxboro rallied for two scores in the second half to get the win. Foxboro junior QB Mark Clagg ran for a 19 yard score and hit the go ahead touchdown on a 37 yard pass to Jamaine Few in the fourth quarter.

2014

Mansfield 31, Foxboro 14

Beau Palanza rushed for a pair of touchdowns, Matt Garvin ran it in once and Matt Carafa threw one touchdown pass to Matt Hogan. Keeyon Neal had a pair of touchdowns for Foxboro.

2013

Mansfield 14, Foxboro 7

Max Trowbridge blocked a punt in the end zone and recovered for a touchdown and Alex Ruddy had a rushing score for the Hornets. Austin Gutierrez had a pick six for the Warriors.

2012

FOXBORO 27, MANSFIELD 21

Foxboro rallied from a 14-0 deficit at halftime behind three touchdown rushes from Kiivone Howard (two of which were over 60 yards). Mansfield’s Kyle Wisnieski tossed two touchdown passes.

2011

Mansfield 14, Foxboro 7

Dan Gilmore tied the game on a rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter, had an interception to get the ball back and caught the game-winning touchdown pass for 3.7 seconds left from George Busharis.

2010

Mansfield 32, Foxboro 12

Mansfield’s George Busharis accounted for three touchdowns as the Hornets won their fourth straight Thanksgiving.
